Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture, also known as the home of Asahi Kasei, is said to have the highest number of snack bars per 100,000 people in Japan (!?), and the entire city is bustling with snack bars.
Furthermore, Nobeoka City is a rare town with three sake breweries: shochu, sake, and local beer. The three breweries, Sato Shochu Brewery, Sentoku Shuzo, and Miyazaki Hideji Beer, are affectionately known as "Mitsukura" (three breweries).
Funagura-cho, where "Soup," is located, has many delicious izakayas, and since it is close to the fishing port, fresh fish dishes are also reasonably priced! One of the characteristics of "Soup," is that the customers are also good friends. We have a very homely atmosphere, with people of all ages and genders visiting, and some customers have been with us for many years, even since the Mama's student days. The shop has many unique and popular staff members, and they are loved so much that their respective fans come as regulars.
The Mama started her business 11 years ago after working as a preschool teacher and kindergarten teacher. Currently, she manages 6 stores, including a women's clothing store and hair removal salons, in addition to the snack bar. Last year, in 2021, she won the Miyazaki Prefecture Grand Prix at Mrs. JAPAN! She also has a history of winning the Personality Award at the Japan competition. She is very good at talking about starting businesses, management, and motivating staff (o^^o)! And she actually loves karaoke! When you meet her at the store, please sing with her!
