A warm food stall boasting delicious food and homemade fruit wine
Next to a convenience store in Kusatsu Onsen, one of Japan's three most famous hot springs, there is the "Incognito Stall Totanya".
The stall is a mobile sales vehicle and camper made entirely by the master himself, with a production cost of 270,000 yen. It will be a stall that has obtained a business license, the number of products sold, and a license to sell fruit liquor from the public health center. With 120 masterpieces of the Showa period carefully selected by the master playing, customers flock to the small shop with 7 counter seats and kotatsu seats to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a nostalgic food stall.
Drinks include homemade salted lemon, lemon sour with salted mandarin orange, homemade fruit wine and lemonade sour. The main dish is hot sake, which is warmed in a sake warmer from the early Showa era! The special tin tirori is placed on a masu plate lined with a hot lava plate and served.
Many of the dishes are seafood-based, and the ingredients are directly delivered from Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture, where the master lived before coming to Kusatsu.
"Kame no Te no Hamabizude" is a mysterious creature resembling a turtle's hand that grows on the beach.
Seafood such as mushrooms, turban shells, and shrimps are placed in the giant shell of Okinawa's turban shell, and Oden soup and Japanese sake are added and grilled.
Tsugiashishi oden is made in a copper oden pot from the early Showa period with only salt and sake.
“Kamete Ramen” is the only dish in Japan that uses dried turtle hands to make soup stock.
Bone-to-eat yellowtail radish is made by simmering only yellowtail's head, middle bones, and bones for four hours.
