A calm, adult bar located in Furumachi, Niigata's geisha district
"Mariko no Sakaraba" is located in Furumachi, Niigata, a geisha district home to Niigata's proud Furumachi Geigi. Furumachi is an old, atmospheric district with buildings housing first-class traditional Japanese restaurants, high-end Japanese restaurants, sushi restaurants, izakayas, clubs, and bars, making it Niigata's entertainment district.
As expected from a Mama who loves to eat, the shop prides itself on its seasonal menu, featuring handmade appetizers primarily made with freshly harvested Niigata vegetables like edamame and juuzen nasu in the summer! For drinks, we offer local Niigata sake, local beer, and a selection of champagnes, wines, whiskeys, and shochu carefully chosen by Mama.
Mama Mariko opened her shop after accumulating various experiences, including as an esthetician instructor and a manager in the food and beverage industry. Another side of Mama Mariko is her role as a designer of colorful and beautiful "Hawaiian Quilts"! She obtained her qualification by traveling to Hawaii and became Niigata's first quilter at the time. She has been leading Hawaiian quilt design classes for over 20 years.

At "Mariko no Sakaraba," a bar for discerning adults, customers range from their 30s to 80s, with a 6:4 ratio of male to female patrons. The oldest customer is 92 years old. The interior decoration incorporates furoshiki (traditional Japanese wrapping cloths), and Mama greets guests in a kimono, striving to create a relaxing atmosphere for customers.
Mama Mariko, full of love for Niigata, especially wants to "promote the good things about Niigata" through the online snack bar. For the "private charter" course, she can liven up birthday parties, farewell parties, and surprise celebrations!
